It seems as if us fans are not the only ones raising our eyebrows at the news of Watford turning down a £25m offer from Leicester City for Troy Deeney. The Hornets striker himself doesn't even seem convinced by all the stories surrounding his future and has taken to social media to let everyone know just that.
The Premier League champions apparently had a £20m offer rebuffed, last week and reportedly failed yesterday with an improved offer of £25m, leading many football fans to wonder just how much Watford would accept for their star striker, given that he was not far off a move to the Foxes a year ago for roughly £9m.
It was then reported that Deeney wanted the move to the East Midlands, despite Watford's insistence on holding onto their captain. These reports have led Deeney to clear up any unsubstantiated rumours that could lead the Vicarage Road faithful to potentially turn against him.

Whether Deeney is hitting out at the reports claiming he wants to leave or just the reports of the bids in general, remains to be seen. However, as good a striker as Deeney is, should he command a fee north of £25m despite just one season of Premier League football, we should strap ourselves in for the most over the top transfer window in history.
