Kasper Dolberg Admits There's One Club He Could Leave Ajax For

Highly rated Ajax forward Dolberg could have his pick of big clubs but he's only interested in one other team.

A teenage striker who impressed in Europe last season, is highly rated and reportedly wanted by several bigger clubs in Europe admitting there's one club he'd consider leaving for? Sorry Arsenal fans but it's Kasper Dolberg not Kylian Mbappe.

The problem for any club outside of the elite teams in Europe is that as soon as they or their players start doing well then they come under threat of losing their best players. It's the difference between the haves and have nots.

Atletico Madrid lost a whole host of title winners after breaking up the Real Madrid and Barcelona monopoly of La Liga and Southampton seem to lose their best players every summer.

Monaco this summer, despite having a ton of money themselves, have already lost one big name player and could yet lose several more if reports are to be believed.

After reaching the Europa League final Ajax were in danger of that happening to them and they have already lost Davy Klaassen to Everton. However it has looked like teenage sensation Kasper Dolberg would be staying.

But now his agent has thrown some doubt on that. Jens Steffensen told Roma News that his client would find it difficult to turn Roma down:

"Roma would be wonderful. Serie A is a great tournament and very competitive, so he'd certainly be interested in a transfer, but there's no concrete offer on the table at the moment.

"He could remain for another season at Ajax, but it depends on the offers. He would find it difficult to say no to a great club like Roma."

The 19 year-old Dane has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool but clearly a mixture of playing in Serie A and guaranteed first team football attracts Dolberg to Rome.

Eusebio Di Francesco has already lost forwards Francesco Totti and Mohamed Salah, to retirement and Liverpool, before he's managed his first game at the club.

It sound like Dolberg will stay in Amsterdam, unless of course Roma come a knocking.
