When Manchester United signed Luke Shaw it was thought they had just signed themselves a quality left-back for the next decade or more. However things haven't worked out as well as hoped and now he could be about to be replaced.
Shaw emerged on the footballing scene at Southampton as a 17 year-old and very quickly attracted attention from Chelsea, the team he supported as a child, and Manchester United. Liverpool were no doubt interested too.
The left-back eventually moved to Manchester United for around £30 million, making him the most expensive teenager ever, with the Blues backing out over the wages United were willing to spend.

Injuries have basically cursed Shaw since his Old Trafford move, with the broken leg he suffered against PSV last season the worst. Last season Shaw came under criticism for his injuries, lack of hard work in training and form from Jose Mourinho.
There's been plenty of questions about his future and now Mourinho is reportedly eyeing up a £15 million move for another highly rated left-back. The Mirror report that United want to make a move for Celtic's 20 year-old Kieran Tierney.

The young defender made his debut for the Hoops in the 2014/15 season and has become an important part of Brendan Rodgers side, that went the domestic season unbeaten.
Tierney has four years left on his contract and Celtic would like him to stay for at least one more season but increased interest from United might lead him to ask for a move, especially if the money is right from the club's point of view.
Arsenal had also held an interest in the player but they've already signed Bosnian left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer this summer so are unlikely to make a move now.
Shaw did feature in United's team towards the end of the season and things looked to be getting better for him but then he got injured again.
Mourinho seemed to be overly harsh on the player he tried to sign when he was at Stamford Bridge, basically saying he had to direct him during a game when he set up the winning goal
Will Shaw be at Old Trafford next season or will it be Tierney?
