A huge update has emerged regarding Vini Jr’s Real Madrid future amid interest from Arsenal.
Vini Jr has been linked with a potential move away from Real Madrid in recent weeks, with Arsenal showing interest in the Brazilian.
The 26-year-old has one year remaining on his Real Madrid contract, with the player and club previously holding talks over a new deal before discussions stalled earlier this year.
On July 25, The Athletic reported that Arsenal were exploring a move for Vini Jr, although any potential transfer depended on whether he could strike an agreement with Real Madrid over a new deal.

And on Wednesday (August 5), the forward got fans talking when he completely wiped all photographs from his Instagram account, which some interpreted as a dig at Real Madrid.
Despite the unusual social media activity, The Athletic’s David Ornstein issued a major update on the situation yesterday, claiming Real Madrid have made an improved contract offer, with talks between the Brazilian’s representatives and Real general director Jose Angel Sanchez taking place in Madrid on Wednesday.

Vini Jr is reportedly demanding an annual package worth €30million (£25.8million), made up of a base salary, performance bonuses and a renewal bonus, with the latter aspect thought to be a sticking point in negotiations.
Previously, Real were not willing to match the Brazilian’s demands, but the club’s stance has now changed, with sources suggesting they have raised their offer.
Real boss Jose Mourinho has made it clear he wants the player to remain at the club, with Vini Jr admitting that the Portuguese just wants him to be "happy" at Los Blancos.
Major Vini Jr update emerges
Meanwhile, on Thursday (August 6), Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon claimed Vini Jr and Real Madrid have now reached an agreement on his contract, which is expected to be signed soon.
Arsenal will likely pursue alternative targets, with the Gunners already welcoming Christos Tzolis, IlIan Meslier and Piero Hincapie this summer, while they have also reached an agreement to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 3-1 pre-season friendly defeat against Real Betis in Dublin last night, Arteta explained how he was “excited” for the season ahead, promising more movement in the transfer window.
“We are going to attack every possible title as that's the ambition we have,” he said.
“We will go from strength to strength - whether it's the players we have, to take them to a different level, or with the market that is still open to recruit as well. We're optimistic about it.
“All the work we've done during the summer is to understand what we need to do to win again and create a dynasty in this football club at the end.”
Arsenal get their Premier League campaign underway at home against newly promoted Coventry on August 21.
