Manchester United could be about to complete the signing of Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on deadline day.

United are racing to try and complete deals for Amrabat and Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon before the window closes, having already signed goalkeeper Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce.

On Thursday, Fiorentina turned down a loan offer from United for Morocco international Amrabat.

The Athletic reported that the offer was for a loan deal, with Erik ten Hag's side proposing a €2m loan fee. However, the fee would be split in half, with United only needing to pay €1m before January, with a break clause involved.

Fiorentina rejected the offer due to the guaranteed sum they were offered, and are believed to prefer a permanent sale of Amrabat or a loan with an obligation to buy.

United returned to the negotiating table with Fiorentina and made a breakthrough with the Italian club on Thursday evening, with 90min journalist Graeme Bailey reporting a deal had been reached over a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the campaign.

Amrabat is now expected to travel to Manchester on Friday morning to undergo a medical with United, have reportedly already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club.

The Manchester Evening News has reported that a private plane has been booked to bring Amrabat to the UK.

A plane with the registration number EUW944 is scheduled to take off from Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence at 1130am local time on Friday morning and land at Manchester Airport around an hour and 20 minutes later.

"A private jet has been booked from Florence to arrive at Manchester Airport on Friday afternoon amid United's interest in Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat," read the MEN's report.

"A boutique jet is scheduled to touch down at Manchester Airport at 12.52pm on Friday afternoon and United have not denied the possibility they have arranged the private jet."

Liverpool and Bayern Munich were also linked with Amrabat earlier this summer but it appears United are set to win the race to sign the Morocco international, who played under Erik ten Hag at Utrecht early on his career.

Speaking to ESPN earlier this year, Nordin Amrabat - Sofyan's brother and a former Watford star - said Ten Hag's influence could be the difference in the battle to sign the midfielder.

"Ten Hag is now looking for a striker, he wants that first," he said.

"From there he will see what is possible. But I know that Ten Hag is charmed by my brother, he broke through under him and they have a good relationship, so who knows."
