Fiorentina have already agreed a fee with another Premier League for midfielder Sofyan Amrabat amid strong interest from Manchester United.

Throughout the summer transfer window, United have been linked with Amrabat, who was one of the star performers at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

So far, United have yet to agree a deal with the Italian Serie A outfit due to financial fair play.

The Old Trafford club have already spent big on the likes of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.

It has now been reported that Nottingham Forest have agreed a fee of £17 million with Fiorentina for Amrabat.

According to Italian news outlet Sportitalia, Forest have had a bid of £17 million accepted by the Serie A side.

Despite that, it has been reported that Amrabat has rejected a move to the City Ground.

Furthermore, Di Marzio reported that United have had a loan offer for Amrabat rejected by Fiorentina.

Despite bringing in three marquee signings, United’s start to the 23/24 Premier League campaign has been a mixed bag.

After a lucky 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Erik ten Hag’s men were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur.

Last weekend, United were lucky as they came back from 2-0 down to beat Forest 3-2 at Old Trafford.

After the victory against Forest, club captain Bruno Fernandes said: “We knew that if we scored a goal in the first half, the fans will get behind us. Even when it was 2-0, the fans were still pushing for us, still there for us.

“And obviously when we get that goal, it gives everyone a lift - players on the pitch, the fans in the stands, and they know that this team is capable of a comeback.”

He continued: “This club has a lot of achievements in comebacks in the games when you're losing, so they know that we're capable of that, they know we have a great spirit on the team. We have a great passion that we will do the right things to get the result.”
