McTominay Finally Addresses Napoli Exit Rumours as European Giant Make Move

Scott McTominay is on the radar of a huge club.

Scott McTominay has spoken out about his future amid reports linking him with a stunning move away from Napoli.

McTominay has shone in Italy since his transfer from Manchester United in the summer of 2024.

Last season, he inspired Napoli to Serie A glory and won the league's Most Valuable Player award in a sensational debut campaign in Italy's top flight.

McTominay is on course to enjoy another stellar term, having scored four goals in 11 games across all competitions - with Napoli leading the way in the Serie A.

Naturally, his impressive performances for Napoli have alerted Europe's elite clubs, including Barcelona.

According to TEAMtalk, Barca have placed McTominay on a three-man shortlist to bolster their midfield next summer.

He is on their radar, alongside Aston Villa's Amadou Onana and a La Masia graduate.

A potential move to Barca would see him reunite with Marcus Rashford, who appears set to sign for the Catalan giants on a permanent deal, having impressed on loan.

Tottenham and Newcastle United are also interested in McTominay and hope to lure the 28-year-old back to the Premier League, viewing him as the 'ideal player to provide the energy and spark needed in the engine room'.

Eddie Howe sees the Scotland international's leadership and Premier League pedigree as perfect for his side's Champions League push this season.

Whether McTominay leaves next summer remains to be seen, but a January move is effectively off the table.

But judging by his recent comments, a move away from Napoli anytime soon appears unlikely.

Speaking to Sky Italia, McTominay made it clear that he's happy at Napoli and has no intention of leaving.

"I'm really happy in Naples," he said.

McTominay enjoyed a terrific debut season at Napoli as he scored 13 goals across all competitions in his side's league-winning campaign.

He joined Napoli from Man United, having come through their youth academy. He made 255 appearances across all competitions before departing Old Trafford for £21 million.
