Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has given a big update on Real Madrid’s next transfer target.

The transfer window is yet to officially open and the reigning champions of Europe have already secured arguably the biggest deal of the summer.

On Monday evening, it was confirmed that France superstar Kylian Mbappe has joined Madrid.

The 25-year-old signed for the Spanish champions after leaving Paris Saint Germain at the end of the 23/24 season.

A club statement read: “Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappe have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.”

After sealing the deal for the Frenchman, it has been claimed that Madrid are looking to snap up another huge talent.

As reported by Romano, Los Blancos are now concentrating on Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies.

He wrote on social media: “Understand Real Madrid are still working on Alphonso Davies deal, as new contacts took place this week.

“Bayern new contract proposal, still valid — so it’s up to Alphonso now; accept it or leave. Real won’t pay rumoured €50m fee, only on favourable conditions.”

Earlier in the year, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl confirmed that the Bavarians have offered Davies a new deal.

He said: “We sent Alphonso a very concrete, appreciative offer. At some point in life you have to say yes or no. Real Madrid hasn't contacted us.”

Meanwhile, after Bayern’s defeat by Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League, Davies himself spoke about his future.

The Canadian said: “Will I play here at the Bernabeu? Right now, my agent is talking to Bayern. Whatever happens, I'm very grateful to Bayern.”

Davies is often regarded as one of the best left-backs in world football having impressed during his time in Germany.

So far, the 23-year-old has made 195 appearances for Bayern, scoring 11 goals. He has also won a total of 13 trophies with the club, including five Bundesliga titles and one Champions League.
