A journalist who covers Newcastle United has dropped a huge update on Alexander Isak amid interest from Liverpool.
Liverpool remain in the market for new players, having already added Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez to their Premier League title-winning squad.
But Arne Slot is also set to trim his squad, with Jarell Quansah expected to complete a transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.

Forwards Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have also been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.
If Liverpool sanction the sale of either Nunez or Jota, then Slot would likely dip into the market for a new No.9, with Isak's name mooted.
But Newcastle are reluctant to sell their prized asset and would command a fee in excess of £150 million.

Liverpool, however, have the necessary funds to afford Isak despite splashing over £100 million to acquire Wirtz.
Chronicle Live journalist Lee Ryder has shed new light on the star player's situation at Newcastle.
Ryder claims Eddie Howe could take the lead on contract talks with Isak ahead of the player returning to the club for pre-season in July, with key decision makers Darren Eales and Paul Mitchell set to leave St. James' Park.
Per the report, Howe has been in contact with the Swede, and there have been 'quiet talks' behind the scenes.

"We understand that Howe has been in contact with Isak and is relaxed over his situation - and there has been quiet talks behind the scenes," he wrote. "But that is no surprise given Howe is a great man manager who keeps in constant touch with his squad and offers assurance frequently."

Newcastle don't have to sell Isak and there are no fears internally that the forward will 'need settling down', the report adds.
The 25-year-old isn't expected to force a move, with the national media claiming he would sign a new deal worth £200,000-per-week at Newcastle.

But Ryder claims 'Newcastle have not stood that up just yet'.
Isak has established himself as one of the leading forwards in the Premier League following his incredible goal-scoring exploits.
He scored 23 league goals last season, having bagged 21 league goals in the 2023/24 campaign.
