Liverpool have been told they can afford Alexander Isak as the transfer saga has taken a fresh twist amid intense speculation.
Liverpool have already recruited following last season's Premier League triumph, signing Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.
Wirtz cost a club-record £116 million, while Frimpong and Kerkez commanded fees of £29.5 million and £40 million respectively.

The club remain in the market for new players ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Isak's name continues to be heavily linked with a move to Anfield, with the Reds set to part ways with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota.
If Arne Slot allows Nunez and Jota to leave Anfield, then a No.9 will be on his radar, with Isak believed to be high on his transfer wish-list.

A deal could be brokered as Liverpool have the financial capabilities to afford Isak, who has been slapped with an eye-watering £150 million price tag.
That's according to football finance expert Dan Plumley, who explained how Liverpool can afford to sign the 25-year-old and questioned whether Newcastle United would sell their main man.
"In terms of, could they afford Isak? Yes," he told Football Insider.
"I know they’ve done a deal for [Florian] Wirtz and [Jeremie] Frimpong, but if [Jarell] Quansah goes the other way, and you’ve got Trent Alexander Arnold off the books, and they’ve managed to get an unbelievable fee to let him go early.

"So all those little things then kind of come into the mix and they didn’t spend anything last summer at all, they had net spend figure of something like £0.1m, so Isak is affordable for Liverpool, ultimately.
"The question mark is, are Newcastle likely to sell? Probably not."

On Liverpool striking a deal with Newcastle for Isak, Plumley added: "That’s going to be a hard bargaining conversation and attached to that, that means the fee’s going to go up and it’ll be more of a case of what’s Liverpool’s ceiling on what they’re prepared to pay for that player, because Newcastle will stretch that out for sure.

"I think affordability, yes, the question mark for me would be, what’s the fee and the negotiation and how much Liverpool wants that player.”
The Swedish international has enjoyed an ultra-prolific spell in the Premier League since joining Newcastle from Real Sociedad for £63 million in the summer of 2022.
He has scored an impressive 54 goals in 86 league matches, establishing himself as one of the best forwards in England's top flight.
