Scott McTominay could soon be joined at Napoli by a Premier League player who made him 'lose his head' at Manchester United.
McTominay made the move from United to Napoli last summer in a €30 million (£25.5 million) deal
And the 28-year-old Scottish midfielder has excelled in Italy, under the guidance of former Chelsea and Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

McTominay had an outstanding debut season, as he scored 13 goals and registered six assists in all competitions.
Most memorably, he scored a bicycle kick on the final day as Napoli beat Cagliari to win the title by just one point from Inter Milan.
McTominay's performances and crucial goals earned him the Serie A's Most Valuable Player.
It has now emerged that Liverpool star Darwin Nunez could join him at Napoli, according to the latest report from ESPN.

McTominay and Nunez have history, having played each other in one of English football's fiercest rivalries.
Back in March 2023, Liverpool humiliated Manchester United, beating them 7-0 at Anfield, with Nunez scoring a brace.
McTominay started on the bench, but was brought on for the Brazilian midfielder Fred with half an hour still to play.

During that spell, Liverpool scored four goals, including Nunez's second.
After the game, Erik ten Hag said: "We didn't stick to the plan, we lose our heads. We didn't do our jobs. We didn't track back and it was really unprofessional."

What is happening with Nunez?
The Uruguayan joined the Reds in 2022 for a club-record £85 million, although the signing of Florian Wirtz will eclipse that mark.

Nunez has struggled to live up to those expectations at Anfield.
Although he has 40 goals and 26 assists in 143 games, his lack of a clinical edge has caused frustrations among supporters and new head coach Arne Slot.
This season in the Premier League he started in less than a quarter of the games and Nunez is expected to leave the champions this summer.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano wrote: "Darwin Nunez remains guaranteed exit at Liverpool this summer with Saudi Pro League clubs keen since January.

"Understand also Napoli have made contact in the recent days with Nunez on the shortlist and more talks to follow soon.
"Darwin, open to both Saudi-European options."
At 25 years old, he still has time to fulfil the promise which he showed at Benfica.
And after McTominay's unbelievable season at Napoli, Nunez may believe that Conte is the man to turn his fortunes around.
