Wolves striker Matheus Cunha has seriously annoyed fans after they spotted his response to a deleted post on Instagram.

There are still eight weeks until the transfer window reopens, and yet some of the biggest stars in the Premier League already appear to be set to leave in the summer.

Despite signing a new contract to settle transfer rumours earlier in the season, and now appears almost certain that Wolverhampton Wanderers star Cunha wants to leave the club as soon as possible.

And his latest actions on social media have only further added fuel to the fire as his comments on an Instagram post has left fans outraged.

In January, the Brazilian was strongly linked with a move to London to join Arsenal, who were reportedly prepared to make record bid to secure his signature.

Instead, the 25-year-old opted to extend his stay at the Molineux, signing a new contract that would keep him at the club until at least 2029.

However, Cunha's new deal with Wolves reportedly includes a release clause which is believed to be valued at around £62.5m, and his recent behaviour on Instagram would suggest he's keen for it to be triggered.

Posting on his Instagram story, Cunha shared a photo of himself alongside the caption: "Time to be happy, I will follow my dreams, not yours... So stay cool."

A photo of the story was later shared by Wolves fan account talkingwolves, prompting a heated response from the Brazilian.

Commenting on the fan account's post, Cunha wrote: "HAHHAHAHAHA"

Before adding in another comment: "Do you know what you want? For people to not like me here, unfortunately I'm going to the field to solve the problem of your favourite club.

"I'm not here looking for alternatives to be someone important. Fans root for their own, they don't create misfortunes all the time."

Unsurprisingly, the comments infuriated Wolves fans, who understandably are growing more and frustrated with their star's behaviour.

Reacting to the situation, one Wolves fan wrote: "At this point I’m not even a**** he’s leaving."

While another took it further, adding: "Buzzing for him to go. Undoubtedly a brilliant footballer but an absolutely terrible team mate. He will go somewhere big and be bang average."

Although links the to Arsenal still exist, it now would appear that Manchester United are the front runners to sign Cunha as a replacement for underperforming strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

But after seeing his comments about Wolves, it would appear even United fans aren't convinced they want to sign him.

Reacting to Cunha's comments, one United fan wrote: "As good as he is he's just trouble that united do not need to deal with."

While one wrote: "United should steer clear of him great player but he's likely to start this s*** as soon as he doesn't start a game."
