Two Premier League clubs have entered the race for England and Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi, according to reports.

Guehi has been in impressive form for Palace across three seasons while he starred for England’s back line alongside John Stones for the Three Lions’ tournament opener against Serbia.

With just two years remaining on his deal at Selhurst Park, Guehi has been linked with a summer transfer.

A Caught Offside report has claimed that Arsenal and Newcastle are keen on signing the 23-year-old centre-back.

The publication has alleged that Palace value Guehi at around £50milliion, which Newcastle and Arsenal consider too high a fee.

While Guehi’s future is likely to be resolved after the European Championships, Caught Offside has claimed the defender is open to leaving the Eagles this summer.

Elsewhere, the Mail claim Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool are also among the clubs interested in Guehi ahead of next season.

However, when he returns from international duty Palace are allegedly set to explore the possibility of offering the England star a contract extension.

In addition to offering him a pay increase, Palace may also try to tempt Guehi into extending by including a buy-out clause in any new deal, that would allow him to leave Selhurst Park for a set price.

It’s a tactic the club has used successfully in negotiations with Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise in the past 12 months.

“He was brilliant – brilliant,” Jude Bellingham stressed when asked about Guehi’s first tournament start in an England shirt.

“He picked the lines amazingly. He led against two, for me, really good centre-forwards at this level in [Dušan] Vlahović and [Aleksandar] Mitrović, two really, really tricky customers.

“It will help a lot when he has [John] Stones beside him, one of the best around. He was fantastic.”
