Man Utd could be hit by transfer domino effect after PSG accept world record Kylian Mbappe bid

Man Utd could be hit by transfer domino effect after PSG accept world record Kylian Mbappe bid

Man Utd could be heavily impacted.

Manchester United could be impacted if Kylian Mbappe joins Al Hilal from PSG.

According to Sky Sports, the French giants have accepted a world record bid of €300 million (around £259 million) from the Saudi Pro League side for Mbappe, who is out of contract next summer.

The stunning bid was submitted on Monday morning, with PSG now keen to sell Mbappe after reportedly becoming convinced that he had already agreed terms to join Real Madrid next summer.

According to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Les Parisiens believed that United are one of seven clubs interested in making a move for Mbappe.

But they have been blown out of the water by Al Hilal, with the Saudi Pro League determined to continue its summer of unparalleled spending.

If Mbappe does agree to join the club, it could have a significant impact on United's transfer plans.

Man Utd could suffer domino effect if Mbappe transfer completed

United are targeting Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund this summer, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that they are preparing an official bid for the 20-year-old Danish striker.

Atalanta want €70 million, but BBC Sport claim that United will not budge on their own undisclosed valuation of the striker.

That could force them to move on to other targets, with Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani another option for manager Erik ten Hag.

The Daily Mirror claimed last month that United would not go ahead with a deal due to Frankfurt's €100 million (£86 million) asking price, although it may be easier to negotiate with the 2022 Europa League winners.

According to L'Equipe, however, PSG are keen on Kolo Muani, and although it was reported last week that they were out of the race, the sale of Mbappe could prompt them to launch another bid.

And with Fabrizio Romano claiming that they are also interested in Hojlund, the French giants could decimate United's transfer plans by signing one - or even both - of the strikers.

Ten Hag, therefore, will be watching the Mbappe saga with great interest - and may even decide to get a deal done quickly for Kolo Muani or Hojlund whilst PSG finalise an outgoing of their own.
