Manchester United fans have brutally mocked Barcelona's reported bid for one of their star players.

New Barca boss Hansi Flick is looking for reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window reopening.

He's identified a world-class player and has also set his sights on a Man United starlet.

That's according to Spanish outlet El Nacional, who claim Flick wants to build his midfield around Kobbie Mainoo and the Catalan giants have made an offer.

It's claimed that Barca have tabled £8.5 million plus Raphinha in swap deal for Mainoo.

However, the proposed offer has not gone down well among Man United fans on social media as they have made their feelings clear.

One X user wrote: "Barcelona can only buy him on FIFA."

A second argued: "They value Raphinha at 70m so that’s 78.5m which isn’t even that bad."

A third added: "This is the kind of offer you will laugh off."

A fourth said: "Haha brokelona, what are they thinking?"

Another commented: "Thankfully John Murtough has left as he’d probably have accepted that."

Mainoo, 19, enjoyed a stunning breakout campaign last season as he made 32 appearances in all competitions.

He became a vital player under Erik ten Hag after starring against Everton at Goodison Park.

The talented midfielder also chipped in with goals, scoring against the likes of Liverpool and Wolves.

It appears extremely unlikely Man United will listen to any offers for Mainoo, who is destined for a long spell at Old Trafford.

As for Raphinha, he scored 10 goals in 37 games across all competitions last season.

The left-footed winger shone at Leeds United before securing a move to Barca in the summer of 2022.

The La Liga outfit are believed to be open to selling the Brazilian to fund new signings, with Tottenham and Liverpool thought to be interested in bringing the player back to the Premier League.
