Liverpool have a secret weapon up their sleeves to lure Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich to Anfield.

Over the latest international break, Liverpool have been linked with Bayern winger Leroy Sane, with the former Manchester City man tipped to be the long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Now, according to German news outlet BILD, Liverpool are ready to pounce on Musiala after he reportedly suspended contract talks with the Bavarian club.

The report by BILD stated: “It is a dangerous situation for Bayern.”

It is believed that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Musiala and that the 20-year-old has been on the Anfield club’s radar for a long time.

According to the report, the stalling of contract talks between Musiala and Bayern is down to two factors.

Firstly, the team’s overall performance this season has been well below par.

Thomas Tuchel’s men currently sit in third place in the Bundesliga table, behind Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart.

Secondly, Musiala is said to be worried about not having a guaranteed starting spot in the Bayern team.

BILD claimed that one week he produced a Man of the Match-worthy performance in the Champions League but was then dropped to the bench by Tuchel for the following weekend’s Bundesliga clash with Freiburg.

Liverpool will for sure face tough competition for Musiala’s signature as many clubs around Europe will be keeping a close eye on the situation.

However, Liverpool could use Ryan Gravenberch as a secret weapon in their pursuit of the young German midfielder.

This is because Gravenberch played with the 20-year-old at Bayern before leaving for Anfield and the Dutchman can sell Liverpool to Musiala.
