Liverpool could sensationally sign two more players if they can complete the transfer of Alexander Isak.
Liverpool have recruited heavily this summer, splashing the cash to sign Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike.
Despite signing a forward in Ekitike, the Reds remain interested in signing Isak, who has informed Newcastle United that he wants to explore his options during the transfer window.
The astronomical fee Isak would command has emerged as the Anfield outfit is his preferred destination.

The Premier League champions wouldn't stop their summer spending if they can successfully acquire Isak.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Lyon starlet Malick Fofana, who is highly-rated by the club's scouting department.
Liverpool are expected to pursue a move for Fofana, 20, once Federico Chiesa departs.
Chiesa, who joined the club last summer, has been strongly linked with a move away after playing a bit-part role last season.

When the Italian winger leaves, Liverpool are on standby for Fofana.

Liverpool are also tracking Marc Guehi. They have a long-term interest in the Crystal Palace centre-back as they look to potentially replace Ibrahima Konate, who is out of contract in June 2026.
Guehi, 25, has emerged as one of the finest defenders in the Premier League following his performances for the Eagles.

"Yeah, I don't think it's been a bad transfer window in terms of the additions that we have made and the money we've spent," he said. "The club is obviously trying to improve our squad.
"The Premier League is incredibly strong so it's only right that we have to improve too. We know we have a very good team but additions are always a plus and I've been really impressed with how they have settled in.
"Showing their qualities on the pitch is important, but also how they are off the pitch in terms of settling in with us. I'm sure if you asked them they would say they feel very welcome so far. They have clicked really well with the group.
"Listen, there are no guarantees in terms of retaining the title or winning more trophies. But improving the squad is always a good thing. Adding quality helps to raise the standard in both training and games hopefully."
