A shock new club has entered the race for Al Nassr striker Jhon Duran amid reports he is set to leave the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Just months after competing a shock £64million to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr in January, former Aston Villa star Duran has been linked with a move away from the club in recent days.

Ahead of his transfer, the Colombian international scored seven goals in 20 Premier League appearances, attracting interest from several big clubs both in England and abroad.

For Al Nassr, the 24-year-old has continued this impressive form, netting 12 goals in 18 appearances as his side finished third in the Saudi Pro League.

However, it now appears that he is seriously considering leaving his new club, with a new report revealing that a new side has emerged in the race to sign the highly-rated striker.

As it stands, a return to the Premier League appears to be the most likely option for Duran, with the likes of West Ham, Arsenal, Wolves and Fulham all believed to be monitoring his current situation.

Odds from Betfair, have the Gunners as 4/1 favourites to secure the Colombian's signature, as manager Mikel Arteta appears to be eager to add a star striker to his lineup for next season.

However, a new report from Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaogl has revealed that Pro League giants Fenerbahce have now entered the race to sign Duran, claiming that they are very interested in a potential move.

When the summer transfer window reopens on June 16, Jose Mourinho is expected to be extremely busy in the market as he looks to strengthen his Fenerbahce squad with several key signings after finishing 11 points behind league winners Galatasaray last season.

The likes of Neymar Jr, Heung-Min Son and Goncalo Ramos are all believed to be potential targets for the Turkish club, who have made their intentions of adding elite forwards to the team clear.

However, despite Duran being high on Mourinho's list of targets, any potential deal could be costly for Fenerbahce, as his current salary with Al Nassr is believed to be around €392,500 (£334,272) gross per week, excluding bonuses.
