Harry Kane reaches agreement to join Bayern Munich

Harry Kane is set to complete his move to Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane has reached an agreement to join Bayern Munich from Tottenham, according to stunning reports.

Spurs have finally succumbed to Bayern's pursuit of Kane, having accepted their bid of £86.4 million on Thursday.

Kane, who has 12 months left on his current contract, will travel to Germany to undergo medical tests and sign his four-year deal, according to The Athletic.

He's expected to wear the club's No.9 shirt after approving the switch to the German giants.

The 30-year-old wants to play against RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday if the transfer is completed before the fixture. If not, he could be presented ahead of the match.

The England captain has featured for Spurs in pre-season as he scored four goals against Shakhtar Donetsk last Sunday.

Kane will leave Spurs as the club's all-time top scorer having scored 280 goals in 435 appearances.

He scored an impressive 30 goals in the Premier League last season, with only Manchester City's Erling Haaland scoring more league goals than him.

Bayern, meanwhile, open their 2023/24 Bundesliga campaign on August 18 against Werder Bremen in what could be Kane's first match for his new club should be not feature in the DFL-Supercup.

Bayern have won 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles and have also enjoyed European success, winning the Champions League in 2020.

As for Spurs, they are now tasked with replacing their star man with just a few weeks left of the summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou, who was appointed earlier in the summer, will begin his reign on Sunday against Brentford.
