Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen has reportedly made his decision on his next club amid interest from several of the top clubs in Europe.

Since arriving in the Premier League from Juventus last summer in a £12.6million transfer, Huijsen has established himself as one of the top defensive talents in Europe.

The Spain international made 34 appearances in all competitions for Bournemouth this season and his attracted interest from several of the biggest clubs on the continent, including Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea.

But now, it appears that the 20-year-old has finally made his decision and is entering into the final days as a Bournemouth player.

According to BBC Sport, La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to win the race for the young defender after agreeing to pay the defender's £50m release clause.

The Dutch-born defender is also said to be close to agreeing personal terms with the La Liga club having turned down several offers to remain in England.

Real Madrid will pay the transfer fee in three instalments, with former clubs Juventus set to receive 10% of the fee and Malaga 5%.

The deal is expected to be officially announced in the coming days, with the Spanish club eager to have it completed ahead of the inaugural Club World Cup in the America this summer.

The youngster is just one of several fresh faces that is set to arrive at the Bernebeu ahead of next season with Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold also expected to join over the summer on a free transfer.

Liverpool fans had hoped that the right-back would follow the lead of teammates Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk and sign a new contract, but he confirmed he would be leaving in an announcement earlier this month.

With Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti set to take over as manager of the Brazil national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso will takve over as Real Madrid manager next season.

The Spanish legend has reportedly been instrumental in the decision to sign the defender made signing a young centre-back his top priority.
