Chelsea are reportedly looking to hijack a transfer deal between two Premier League clubs.

It has been a busy summer for Chelsea already after parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino on the back of the 23/24 season.

After weeks of speculation, it was confirmed earlier in the month that former Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has become Chelsea’s new boss.

Speaking after being appointed as Chelsea boss, Maresca said: “To join Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world, is a dream for any coach.

“It is why I am so excited by this opportunity. I look forward to working with a very talented group of players and staff to develop a team that continues the club’s tradition of success and makes our fans proud.”

Now, with the summer transfer window fast approaching, it has been claimed that Chelsea are looking to hijack a transfer deal between Leicester and Brighton, which involves midfielders Jakub Moder and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote on social media: “Jakub Moder already completed first part of medical for Leicester City. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, in Brighton with medical also scheduled.

“Leicester City would receive compensation fee in excess of £25m. Chelsea called for KDH and deciding about possible bid to Leicester.”

He also said: “Of course, Dewsbury-Hall and Moder swap deal include money for Leicester City as part of the agreement.

“Both players have travelled for medical tests, but Chelsea have inquired for KDH earlier today… and it also depends on them now.”

Dewsbury-Hall worked under Maresca at Leicester last season as they clinch their return to the Premier League by winning the Championship.

During the 23/24 season, Dewsbury-Hall manage 12 goals and 15 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions for the Foxes.
