Arsenal are plotting a huge double swoop for two Manchester City treble winners, a report has claimed.
The Gunners’ recruitment staff have been trying to get the baulk of their transfer business done early, ahead of the club’s pre-season tour to the US.
So far, the Premier League runners-up have signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea for £65million, while they are reportedly close to wrapping up a £38million deal for Jurrien Timber and a club-record £105million move for Declan Rice.

But the Arsenal's board could sanction more arrivals still, as Mikel Arteta looks to close to gap on Premier League champions City.
It has been claimed that Arsenal are even attempting to poach two of Pep Guardiola’s players ahead of the new campaign.
Arsenal to sign Alvarez and Walker?
According to El Nacional, Arsenal are weighing up whether to launch a double swoop for Jullian Alvarez and Kyle Walker.

Luring Alvarez away from the European champions will prove to be difficult, however, given the 23-year-old signed a contract with City in March which is set to keep him at the club until 2028.
With five years left on his deal Man City would reportedly only consider parting ways if they received an offer in the region of €80million (£68.4million), which is €20million (£17million) short of Arsenal’s valuation.
Alvarez could be lured by the prospect of more game time, however. Due to Erling Haaland's blistering form, the Argentina international made the majority of his 47 appearances from the bench last term, netting 17 goals and claiming five assists in that time.

Meanwhile, Walker is another Arsenal target, with the 33-year-old having entered the final 12 months of his deal at the Etihad.
Arsenal have allegedly approached City with a £13.7million offer for the experienced full-back, who has also reportedly attracted interest from Bayern Munich and boyhood club Sheffield United this summer.
As per the report, Arsenal would be prepared to pay £65million for both players.
Indeed, last term Arteta raided the Citizens to recruit Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus.
