Arsenal and Manchester United could be set to battle it out for a massive new signing just hours before the transfer window closes.

With less than 10 hours left in the January transfer window, there are still several top Premier League clubs attempting to secure big moves to strengthen their squads.

Both Arsenal and United have been relatively quiet across the window, with only the latter securing a move so far.

However, a new report has suggested that things are about to heat up for both clubs as they could be set to clash for a huge signing on deadline day.

For both United and Arsenal, bringing a new forward to the club has reportedly been the main priority of the transfer window, leading to links with several of the most exciting goalscorers across Europe.

And now, as reported by TBR Football, both clubs have now registered their interest in Dusan Vlahovic’s situation at Juventus, amid reports the striker could be on his way out of the club.

As it stands, Vlahovic's contract with the Italian club is set to expire in June 2026, but Juventus are keen to tie him down to a new deal.

However, recent reports have suggested that Juventus and Vlahovic have recently reached a stalemate in their contract negotiations, alerting the two Premier League sides that a deal could be possible.

After the departure of Paul Pogba in November 2024, the Juventus striker became the highest paid player in the Serie A, with Capology reporting that he earns a weekly wage of €373,846 (£310,385) a week.

And despite being in talks for 12 months, Vlahovic is unwilling to accept the wage reduction included in any new deal from Juventus, making a sale either this month or in the summer more likely than not.

This led to both Arsenal and United's interest, as Arsenal look to bolster their attack after both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus were sidelined by injuries and United look to replace young pair Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee who have failed to impress this season.

Both clubs reportedly made attempts to sign highly-rated Bayern Munich forward Mattys Tel, but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that, despite rejecting them earlier in the window, the Frenchman has now agreed to join Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day.
