Tottenham Hotspur produced a brilliant second half performance to stun Manchester United in the Premier League.

Heading into the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, United were looking to cement themselves in the top four after their FA Cup semi-final victory last weekend.

Spurs meanwhile were hoping to produce a much-improved performance after their horror showing at St. James’ Park, where they were battered 6-1 by Newcastle United.

The defeat against the Magpies signalled the end of Cristian Stellini’s short reign as caretaker boss.

Now, Spurs are being led by former player Ryan Mason, who took over after Jose Mourinho’s sacking in 2021.

Under the lights in North London, United made a fast start as Jadon Sancho gave them the lead after just seven minutes.

One minute before half time, Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 as Spurs players were booed off once again after a poor showing.

In the second half, Spurs look a completely different side as they started on the front foot and were starting to make some good chances.

They eventually got a goal back courtesy of full-back Pedro Porro in the 56th minute.

With 78 minutes on the clock, Son Heung Min dragged Spurs level after tapping home a perfect cross from Harry Kane. The match ended 2-2 after a pulsating second half.

The lead evaporates! 😬

It's that duo again 🤷‍♂️

United fans took to social media to show their displeasure over the substitutions Erik ten Hag made.

One said: “Love Erik ten Hag but those subs were horrendous…”

Another tweeted: “Erik Ten Hag sold this game with this stupid sub.”

A third fan added: “Erik ten Hag making stupid mistakes over and over again. His sub making is so poor now.”

Someone else wrote: “The subs made by Erik ten Hag have been awful. Changed the game in the wrong way.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Erik Ten Hag really needs to improve on his subs! They’re costing us in some games.”

On the back of the draw, Spurs moved up to sixth place in the Premier League table.

Spurs now face another tough test as they travel to Anfield on Sunday to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who are hoping to mount a late charge for a top four finish.
