Spurs fans are calling for manager Thomas Frank to be sacked after their 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth - and have been left stunned over what happened before kick-off.

Frank's side took a fifth-minute lead at Dean Court through Mathys Tel, but found themselves 2-1 down by half-time.

Forwards Evanilson and Junior Kroupi netted for Bournemouth, who were on a 10-match winless run in the Premier League.

Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha equalised for Spurs on 78 minutes, but they couldn't find a winner.

Instead, it was Antoine Semenyo - playing in what is to be his final game for the club ahead of a move to Manchester City - who scored a dramatic 95th-minute winner for Bournemouth.

Spurs now sit 14th in the Premier League table, having won just two of their last 10 Premier League matches.

That run of form has led to fans calling for Frank to be sacked from his role - while a bizarre moment caught on camera prior to kick-off has left fans stunned.

In the minutes before kick-off, Frank was seen drinking from an Arsenal-branded cup at Dean Court.

The photo appears twice on Getty Images, and also on PA Images.

It isn't exactly clear how the Dane managed to get his hands on a cup belonging to Spurs' fierce North London rivals.

But Bournemouth took on Arsenal at home on January 3, with each Premier League club having their own branded cup.

And although some of the reaction was slightly tongue-in-cheek - with more focus on Spurs' torrid Premier League form and performances - it certainly got fans talking.

One wrote: "I don't care about being 14th, sack him for this."

A second asked: "Where did Thomas Frank even get the Arsenal cup from?"

A third said: "Sack Frank for Arsenal cup alone."

While a fourth said: "Yeah unironically get him out for this."
