Tommy Fury earned a staggering, career-high purse following his big win over Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia.

Fury inflicted a first defeat on Paul as he won a split-decision on Sunday, improving his professional record to 9-0.

The 23-year-old not only picked up a massive victory for his career but also a whopping purse, pocketing a cool seven-figure pay-out.

According to Sports Zion, he will receive a sum of $2 million (£1.7 million) as his base salary, plus 35 per cent of the pay-per-view revenue.

Paul, meanwhile, will receive a base salary of $3.2 million (£2.7 million). In addition, he will also earn 65 per cent of the total PPV sales.

The same outlet claims that Paul will earn $8.6 million (£7.2 million) for the fight in total, with Fury getting $4.5 million (£3.8 million).

With the amount of money involved in Paul vs. Fury, no wonder 'The Problem Child' is angling for a rematch against 'TNT'.

Speaking in his post-fight interview, he hopes to run it back and revealed he got sick and injured his arm in training.

"We can run it back," he said. "I think we deserve that rematch.

"All respect to Tommy, he won. Don't judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses."

He added: "I felt flat - I got sick really bad twice in this camp, injured my arm. This wasn't my best performance, but that's no excuse

"This is definitely a humbling experience. I've made it further than I ever thought that I would, and beyond."

Fury welcomed the prospect of a rematch, saying: "This is my first main event. If he wants a rematch, bring it on."
