WATCH: Manchester United Fans Think Andreas Pereira Is Paul Scholes In Disguise

While Manchester United new boys Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof made their anticipated debuts in the second half, another United player was also hoping to make an impression on Jose Mourinho.

As well as the striker and defender, Andreas Pereira also came on in the second half and produced a brilliant performance from the middle of the park.

United kicked-off their pre-season tour of the States by thrashing LA Galaxy 5-2. Goals courtesy of Marcus Rashford (x2), Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marouane Fellaini and Anthony Martial.

Despite not getting on the score sheet, Paul Pogba starred in midfield alongside the budding Brazil under-23 international who churned out an impressive outing in the process.

What a performance. Is a potential Pogba and Pereira partnership forming?

The pair combined brilliantly and will give Mourinho some selection dilemmas ahead of the new season.

While comparing his performance to Paul Scholes, the United faithfuls also hope he gets some game time next season.

The 21-year-old experienced regular first-team football last season as he was shipped out on loan to La Liga outfit Granada.

He featured in 35 league games while bagging three goals as he returns to Mourinho's fold with a season of Spanish football under his belt. Granada where ultimately relegated to the second tier.

Could Pereira break into Mourinho's side in the new campaign?
