Tunisia Goalkeeper's 'Injuries' Have Helped The Players Break The Fast

The players have been warming up for the World Cup during Ramadan and their players have been waiting for the right time to drink.

In the build up to the Champions League final Liverpool fans were worried that Mo Salah's fasting during Ramadan might affect his game. That was never an issue but it's certainly affecting the Tunisian national team.

Of course Salah didn't actually end up fasting on the day of the final and he didn't last long on the pitch so it didn't really matter at all to the Red's chances of winning the Champions League.

Salah's decision to break his fast for the game was even the reason he injured his shoulder according to one preacher, and nothing at all to do with Sergio Ramos' shithousery.

Hector Cuper has spoken about dealing with the fast during the World Cup for his Egypt side but he's not the only one and Tunisia have come up with a brilliant way of breaking the fast.

According to a Tunisian journalist the team have employed the goalkeeper to make sure he needs treatment when the fast has gone out as they're on the pitch.

The medical attention means that the other players can have a break and take on water and have something to eat whilst the same also happens for the goalie:

Dates and energy bars are handed out by staff to the players whilst physios see to the goalkeeper, who presumably is given the same food by whoever is tending to him.

Tunisia are in England's group at the World Cup where they will also face Belgium and Panama and are up against it to qualify.

The Africans have had two very eventful games as part of their warm up for Russia with a pair of 2-2 draws with Portugal and Turkey.

The Turkey match saw Cenk Tosun sent off for an altercation with fans, a last minute equaliser and a pitch invasion, and of course an 'injury' to their goalkeeper.
