Alphonso Davies Destroys Barcelona's Defence For Bayern Munich's Fifth Goal

On a night of incredible action from start to finish, 19-year-old Alphonso Davies may have delivered the best moment of the lot, as he destroyed Barcelona's defence.

Bayern Munich absolutely battered Barca in the Champions League quarter final on Friday night, with the 8-2 scoreline only flattening the Spanish side if anything.

Before the match Karl-Heinz Rummenigge warned Lionel Messi about teenage left back Davies but it was actually Barca's defenders who should have heeded the warning.

In the 62nd minute, with Bayern already leading 4-2, Davies stepped past Messi, made Arturo Vidal look silly and then embarrassed Nelson Semedo and Gerard Pique to set up Joshua Kimmich.

On BT Sport commentator Darren Fletcher suggested the teenager, who's had his breakout year with the German champions this season, would soon be considered the best attacking full-back in the world.

Despite his young age it's easy to see how quickly he's bursting into those realms and it seems that everyone else on social media was enjoying the performance too.

If Davies was the only one that embarrassed Barca on the night then it wouldn't have been so harrowing for Messi and his teammates but as it was they were utterly awful.

The six time Ballon d'Or winner barely got a sniff and, despite levelling at 1-1 through David Alaba's own goal in the first half, they never looked even close to being on Bayern's level.

Philippe Coutinho, unwanted at the Nou Camp, scoring the final two goals just rubbed salt in the wounds of Quique Setien's side.

An incredible night and one that Alphonso Davies and Bayern will never forget, Barca will want to.
