Jadon Sancho was in action as Borussia Dortmund took on Bayern Munich.

Arsenal fans were all saying the same thing after seeing what Jadon Sancho did to Alphonso Davies.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich welcomed rivals Borussia Dortmund to the Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon as Thomas Tuchel’s men looked to cut the gap to leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bavarians produced a disappointing performance as goals from Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson sealed a 2-0 win for Dortmund.

As a result of their defeat, Bayern remain 13 points behind Leverkusen, who managed to mount a dramatic late comeback to win 2-1 against Hoffenheim earlier in the afternoon.

During the first half, Sancho, who is on loan at Dortmund from Manchester United went up against Bayern full-back Davies on the right-hand side.

The Englishman displayed some brilliant close control and skills as he left Davies on the deck before playing the ball into the middle.

Reacting on social media, one Arsenal fan said: “Sancho cooking Davies like this, imagine him and Saka 1on1.”

Another tweeted: “He should get ready for Saka. He really should coz he’s gonna run out of energy.”

A third fan added: “With Saka being able to feint and move anywhere and combine with Odegaard.”

Someone else wrote: “If Sancho is cooking Davies what’s Saka gonna do????”

A fifth commented: “Saka is going to have a field day if this is how Alphonso Davies defends.”

Another fan said: “What Saka is going to do to Davies in those two legs should not be televised.”

Arsenal are set to take on Bayern in the quarter-final of the Champions League, with Davies and Bukayo Saka likely to face off.

However, before thinking about Bayern and the Champions League, the Gunners will be fully focused on Sunday’s mouth-watering Premier League clash against Manchester City.

Speaking ahead of the match, manager Mikel Arteta said: “[Last season] there were many factors that didn’t help us. We got the injuries in the Sporting game, and there was a lot happening and that momentum shifted to a more negative momentum. We were struggling to keep up [with City] because they kept winning, they won 14 or 15 games in a row and they managed to do it.

“[It showed] the level that we are facing and where we want to be. Certainly, that's where we want to be and you have to make strong steps to get there. I think we have made some big ones in the last two or three years and we're getting much closer and now it is about how you close that gap and actually try to be better than them.”
