Victor Osimhen has deleted nearly every single Napoli-related post from his Instagram, it's getting ugly

Victor Osimhen has deleted nearly every single Napoli-related post from his Instagram, it's getting ugly

The player has reacted on social media.

Victor Osimhen has deleted nearly every single Napoli-related post from his Instagram after the club posted an 'unacceptable' video on their official TikTok account.

The video, which has subsequently been deleted, featured a clip of the striker’s penalty miss from their clash against Bologna on Sunday, with a strange, sped-up commentary over the top.

On Tuesday evening, Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda released a formal statement about the incident.

“What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable," he wrote on Twitter. "A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news."

Calenda added: “We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor”.

Osimhen has since reacted by deleting nearly every single Napoli-related post from his Instagram, adding fuel to speculation that the Nigerian may take legal action against the Serie A club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are thought to be stepping up their interest in the striker, offering him a way out of Naples.

Osimhen originally appeared frustrated at being brought off with four minutes remaining of their goalless draw against Bologna on Sunday, and was spotted airing his grievances towards manager Rudi Garcia.

However, speaking after the game, Napoli boss Garcia remained upbeat about his side's performance.

"The negative element is the result, but the performance was good, especially in the first half," he told DAZN.

"We had some tactics that worked but are not entirely happy because there is no victory."

While the Frenchman was unwilling to expand on the private conversation he had with Osimhen, adding: "Even the greatest players in the history of football miss penalties. As for when he (Osimhen) went off, we talked about that, what I say to my players remains in the locker room."
