The 10 most decisive players in Serie A in the 21st century have been revealed

The list contains some of the best players to ever play the game

The 10 most decisive players in Serie A in the 21st century have been ranked.

Italy’s top flight, the Serie A is one of the best leagues in European football and often attracts some of the biggest stars from around the world.

The likes of Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and Roma are all frequent participants in European football’s biggest competitions such as the Champions League and the Europa League.

According to Pop Foot, these are the 10 most decisive players in Serie A in the 21st century.

10. Domenico Berardi

Kicking off the top 10 is Sassuolo’s 28-year-old star, Berardi.

Having been at the same club throughout his career so far, he has racked up a total of 113 goals and 72 assists in 297 matches.

9. Luca Toni

One of the finest strikers ever to play the game, Toni has played for a whopping 15 clubs throughout his career.

In Serie A, he has a record of 203 goal contributions in 343 appearances.

8. Alberto Gilardino

Like Toni, Gilardino has also travelled around Italy during his career having played for the likes of Fiorentina, AC Milan, Palermo and Genoa.

In 513 matches, Gilardino has 188 goals and 20 assists.

7. Antonio Cassano

Italy have produced many fine forward players in the 21st century and Cassano definitely qualifies as one.

Having played 399 matches in the Serie A, he has 213 goal contributions to his name.

6. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The Swedish legend recently called time on his illustrious career after seeing out the 22/23 season with AC Milan.

In total, Ibrahimovic has played 283 times in Serie A, scoring 156 and assisting 69.

5. Alessandro Del Piero

Del Piero is one of the best players in Italy’s rich football history.

Having played 347 times for Juventus in Serie A, Del Piero managed 138 goals and 90 assists.

4. Fabio Quagliarella

Quagliarella is another player who has spent their entire career in Italy, playing for 10 clubs in total.

The 40-year-old has racked up 232 goal contributions in 555 Serie A games.

3. Ciro Immobile

Kicking off the top three is Immobile, who has played for Juventus, Genoa, Torino and Lazio in his Serie A career.

Having been at Lazio since 2016, he has so far registered 194 goals and 46 assists in 322 appearances.

2. Antonio Di Natale

Another legend of the sport, Di Natale will go down in history as one of the finest Italian footballers of his generation.

Playing for Empoli and Udinese, Di Natale has a record of 209 goals and 72 assists in 445 games.

1. Francesco Totti

There was also going to be one winner and that man is the Roma legend Totti.

In 471 appearances in Serie A, Totti has managed 214 goals and 131 assists, putting him head and shoulders above the rest of the players on the list.

Totti is a true great not just in Italian football but also in world football.
