Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero suffered a heart arrhythmia during a LIVE Twitch stream on Wednesday.

The Argentine's storied career was cruelly cut short after a heart scare while playing for Barcelona following his move from Man City.

You can catch the 34-year-old on his Twitch channel, where he has expanded his streaming hobby into an actual career.

But he experienced a scare during one of his live streams, reminding fans why he is no longer playing professionally.

During the stream, Aguero, accompanied with Ibai Llanos, paused for a moment then put his hand on his chest.

Llanos asked: "What’s up, man?"

Aguero said: "I think... I think... I just had a mini-arrhythmia."

Llanos questioned: "Do you want us to go to the doctor?" To which Aguero replied: "No, no. Because I have a chip and the famous chip will detect it and send a signal."

Fortunately for everyone involved, the situation passed without any further hiccups.

Aguero called time on his career back in December 2021 after being forced to come before half-time in a home match against Alaves after chest pain complaints. He was subsequently diagnosed with heart arrhythmia, eventually retiring from football.

His cardiologist delved into the former star player's heart problems, revealing he has a 'very small scar' in his heart area.

"He has a very small scar in his heart area which is less than a millimetre which is why it sort of short-circuits and causes those arrhythmias," said Roberto Peidro, who has treated Aguero since 2004.

"What was done using a catheter was to burn that area where the arrhythmias were coming out.

"We think it's going to work very well and solve the problem but our advice is that he shouldn't do high-performance sport that involves an important degree of mental and physical stress several hours a day."

Peidro added: "The most common scenario is that the small scar found is produced by a virus he's suffered at some point in his life and wasn't ever detected.

"I spoke with no-one before Sergio's retirement announcement because this formed part of my duty of professional secrecy, but he allowed me to speak to the media and explain things.

"It was a shared decision for him to quit professional football. He was very anxious and when I saw the test results the first thing I said was: 'If you were my son, I would advise you to go this way.'"
