A '2023 so far' compilation of Cristiano Ronaldo has emerged on social media - and fans are amazed at the Al Nassr star.

Ronaldo has been one of the best players in world football for the vast majority of the past 20 years, having arrived on the scene with Sporting Lisbon before sealing a move to Manchester United in 2003.

Once he conquered the Premier League, the Portuguese icon's career then encapsulated spells at Real Madrid, Juventus, a second stint at United, and now Al Nassr of the Saudi Pro League.

While Ronaldo's move to Saudi Arabia to January was questioned by many, given the relative strength of the league compared to European football at that time, the move has somewhat been justified given the influx of top stars this summer.

At 38 years of age, Ronaldo is still banging the goals in, with an incredible six goals and four assists in his first four Saudi Pro League appearances of the season.

And while the likes of Neymar and Karim Benzema have joined the league, Ronaldo is still very much the star of the show.

A compilation of his 2023 highlights has now gone viral.

Cristiano Ronaldo '2023 so far' compilation goes viral

The compilation, which lasts six minutes, shows Ronaldo sprinting past opponents and leaving defenders floored as he showcases his array of skills.

One clip shows him picking up the ball with his back to goal, before turning, finding a team-mate and charging into the penalty area.

Then there is a wide selection of goals, as well as some incredible long passes that set up goals for his Al Nassr team-mates.

No, this is not Ronaldo circa 2008, or even circa 2015, but the Ronaldo of 2023. And fans are amazed.

One took to Twitter to write: "I have never seen a 38-year-old footballer play like this in my life."

Another added: "Saudi league or not, the way he is moving for a 38-year-old is incredible and some of those goals are top class."

A third wrote: "Someone remind him he is almost 40."

A fourth claimed: "I thought it was gonna be painful him in Saudi Arabia, it's actually a joy to watch."

A fifth added: "You are not supposed to be this good at 38 dawg what a player."
