Alex Telles has scored a stunning volley as Al Nassr take on Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Professional League.

On Friday afternoon, Al Nassr, armed with the likes of Telles, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane went up against Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq.

With two minutes left to play in the first half, the deadlock was broken in spectacular style.

As Al Ettifaq cleared a cross into their penalty area, the ball fell perfectly on the edge of the box for Telles.

The former Manchester United full-back unleashed a wonderful left-footed volley which arrowed into the top corner. You can watch the goal below.

The volley will look fairly familiar to United fans as Telles scored a similar kind of goal when he was playing for the Old Trafford club.

Back in 2021, United were trailing 1-0 in the Champions League against Spanish side Villarreal.

As the clock ticked towards the hour mark, the ball fell to Telles’ feet and he volleyed the ball into the back of the net to bring his team back into the match.

In the end, United won the match thanks to a late goal by Ronaldo, who is now playing alongside Telles at Al Nassr.

Speaking in a recent interview, Telles explained the role Ronaldo played in him joining the club.

He said: “When Al-Nassr talked to me the first time, I sent a massage to Cristiano and his answer was to come (join him).

“Of course, Cristiano continues to develop and his experience increases every day.”

He added: “Watch the number of goals he scores. I will be biased when I talk about him because of the records he broke, and I was lucky to play with him at Manchester United and then Al-Nassr.

“(Ronaldo) is still a decisive player and a great leader who always takes responsibility in the dressing room, helps everyone and creates a good atmosphere.”
