Sandro Tonali took time out to have a kickabout with a young fan whilst he was looking at houses in Newcastle.

On Monday, Newcastle officially announced the signing of Italian midfielder Tonali from Serie A giants AC Milan, in a deal worth a reported €70 million.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the deal makes Tonali the most expensive Italian player in the history of the game.

Upon his arrival to Tyneside, he has already been praised by the Newcastle fans after his first interview was made public.

Now, he has been filmed playing football with a young fan whilst searching for a house around Newcastle. You can watch the footage below.

Fans were quick to react to the video on social media.

One said: “He’s going to fit right in.”

Another tweeted: “This man can do no wrong!”

A third fan added: “That is genuinely elite from Tonali.”

Someone else wrote: “Bet that kid will treasure that moment. What a story to tell your grand kids, ‘I played football with Sandro Tonali when I was a kid'. Love it.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “That's so gorgeous, he's going to fit right in, isn't he.”

Upon joining the Magpies, Tonali said: “First of all, I want to thank Newcastle United because they are giving me a huge opportunity for my career.

“I want to repay the trust on the pitch, giving it my all, as I always have. I'm really excited about playing at St. James' Park, I can't wait to feel the warmth of the fans.”

He added: “The ambition of every player is to come to a team and win. I believe the first thing you should do is never stop, and then aim to win.

“This is everyone's goal. To try and win as soon as possible.”

Newcastle will kick off their 23/24 Premier League season with a clash against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa on 12 August.
