Sadio Mane left Eintracht Frankfurt mascot in shock ahead of Bayern Munich debut

Sadio Mane left Eintracht Frankfurt mascot in shock ahead of Bayern Munich debut

Sadio Mane left Liverpool for Munich this summer.

All eyes were on Sadio Mane as he made his Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich on Friday.

However, a Eintracht Frankfurt mascot stole the show ahead of kick off after producing a great reaction when he saw Mane walking in front of him.

A video was posted on the Bundesliga’s official Twitter, it captured the moment Mane walked past the mascot whilst shaking the hands of the Frankfurt players.

The mascot was completely in awe of Mane and his face was an absolute picture. You can watch the footage here.

Mane opened his Bundesliga account as he scored his side’s third goal in a 6-1 thrashing. A week before the start of the league campaign, Mane netted his first competitive goal for the Bavarian club during a 5-3 win over RB Leipzig in the DFL Super Cup.

The Senegal international joined Bayern from Liverpool this summer in a deal worth up to £35 million, ending his trophy laden six year spell with the Anfield club.

Since joining Jurgen Klopp’s Reds back in 2016 from Southampton, Mane developed into one of the best players in world football.

During his time on Merseyside, he racked up a total of 269 appearances across all competitions and scored 120 goals. He also got his hands on the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup and the League Cup trophy.

Mane also tasted glory on the international stage after playing a vital role in his country’s Africa Cup of Nations win back in February, he scored the winning penalty during a tense shoot out against Mohamed Salah’s Egypt.

During his last interview with Liverpool, Mane stated that he will be a Liverpool fan forever.

He told Liverpool’s official website: “After every one of my games in Munich I will come to the dressing room and I will watch Liverpool, for sure, because I am going to be Liverpool’s No.1 fan forever.

“I just want to say good luck to them and I have an eye on them. And for sure they will be even better because I know the boys: great players, great talent, great maturity and attitude, so of course, Liverpool will always stay even better, for sure.”

Mane will be hoping to continue his fine start in a Bayern shirt this weekend when his team take on Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena.
