Arsenal Fans Think Their Next Signing Is Peak Arsene Wenger

Arsenal Fans Think Their Next Signing Is Peak Arsene Wenger

In the last few years Arsene Wenger has been pretty well suited to bringing in names to Arsenal in the forms of Petr Cech, Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette but he's returning to peak Wenger in the transfer window.

There was a time when Arsene Wenger's trick in the transfer window was to sign players with a bunch of potential and turn them into Thierry Henry, then became the years when he tried to replicate it, only for it not to work.

However when once he would never splash much cash on players he has at least become more accustomed to that with the likes of Sanchez and Ozil, not that it has helped them recapture the league title.

The pair of forwards are likely to leave in the summer, both for free, and Gunners everywhere will be hoping Wenger might spend a little to replace them. But they won't have seen their next signing coming.

Sky Sports are reporting that the north London side are in talks with Konstantinos Mavropanos from PAS Giannina, a 20 year old Greek centre back, and it's fair to say fans aren't too impressed:

If the defender does join it's understood he won't be making himself feel at home in the Emirates anytime soon as he 's set to join Bundesliga side Weder Bremen on loan as soon as he signed for Arsenal.

Arsenal fans will hope this is more Henry than Sanogo but we wouldn't suggesting holding your breath!
