Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal will win the Premier League next season and has backed the mega transfer of Declan Rice.

Arsenal confirmed the signing of Rice from West Ham United in a transfer worth up to £105 million on Saturday.

The England international has penned a five-year deal, with the Gunners also snapping up Kai Havertz from Chelsea and Jurrien Timber from Ajax this summer.

It comes after Mikel Arteta's side finished behind Manchester City in the league last season, having been at the top of the table for large portions of the 2022/23 campaign.

Former Arsenal boss Wenger likes his old side's business this summer and reckons they'll win the league next season.

On the club's recruits this summer, he said: "I think it is a good investment.

"Overall, personally I think they have made good buys as they are players who are now mature, 23, 24, but still young so can stay together for a few years."

The Frenchman added: "They will be under more pressure after last year, but they have learned a lot and they can show they can deal with that pressure now."

Asked for his prediction for the Premier League title next season, he replied: "I believe we will win the championship; it is as simple as that. I have less doubts for Arsenal than the cycling today."

Arsenal haven't won the league title since their 'Invincibles' season back in the 2003/04 campaign.

Wenger masterminded a truly remarkable campaign that season as his team went the whole term undefeated.

Arteta came close to winning the club's first league title since 2004, but they eventually succumbed to Man City, who successfully chased them down.

But the North London outfit appear to be in a stronger position than last season, having acquired the likes of Rice and Havertz.

Will Arsenal win the league title next season? Let us know.
