Should Manchester United be 2-0 up at half time against Huddersfield Town? No one is quite sure but what everyone can agree on is that VAR is there for us all to laugh at.
I've always thought that video officiating was a good thing. Sure it will never get decisions 100% right but it's got to get more right than the officials on the pitch.
On Saturday evening Manchester United and Huddersfield were the latest teams to test out having a couple of extra refs officiating from an office in London to help the ref on the pitch.
The Red Devils found themselves 1-0 up through Romelu Lukaku and just before half-time thought they'd doubled their lead when Juan Mata scored. It looked like it might have been offside but the linesman, in line with play, didn't raise his flag.
After sometime VAR eventually ruled it out and when pictures came through everyone was laughing at the wobbly lines:
"That was a shambles"

The VAR is alright, it's just the referees applying it. And their wonky rulers...

Not sure it's a good idea to get a 9 year old to draw the straight lines on the VAR

Blaming VAR when the problem is poor use of VAR is the new blaming zonal marking when the problem is bad zonal marking.

This VAR really is a shambles. Can't even use straight lines and the guy doing it is 200 miles away probably at home pissed and just drawing crooked lines. It's actually ridiculous. That was clearly a goal as much I didn't want it to be. Needs fucking off this for good. Shocking

Remember it's supposed to be used for clear and obvious mistakes and none of us can still be sure if it was onside or offside...
