Fulham unveil luxury VIP hospitality area featuring swimming pool and rooftop bar

'The Riverside' has been described as an "out of this world" matchday experience.

Premier League side Fulham have unveiled an "out of this world" matchday experience featuring a rooftop swimming pool, Michelin Star-standard food and bookable VIP areas.

The Cottagers released a sneak peak of their newly constructed Riverside Stand on Wednesday, giving fans an insight into what they can expect when it opens later this year.

It's fair to say the club have gone big on advertising their latest project. They claim to have “redefined” the spectator experience with the redevelopment, offering seven distinct hospitality options.

Fulham chairman Shahid Khan described the riverside development as a "location like no other" and a "real game-changer" for the football club and all of London.

“My vision for the New Riverside Stand was to provide our fans, and our neighbourhood, with a destination that would continue to honour our history and tradition at Craven Cottage every day of the year," he said in a statement.

So what can we expect? Fulham have promised that supporters will receive "best-in class offerings" at The Riverside, featuring contemporary designs, state of the art concourses and premium hospitality lounges on match days.

The design of the Riverside Stand, meanwhile, is sympathetic to Fulham's location, with the "glorious" River Thames and environment being at the forefront of the building.

The first-floor restaurant, which has been described as "elegant", features a finely crafted four-course a la carte menu - as well as fine wines, champagne and cocktails - all curated by Michelin star chefs.

There is also 'The Brasserie' on the first floor, which will feature food and drink curated by a 'world class' Michelin star chef.

"And with creative cuisine comes two inspiring perspectives," Fulham's website adds. "We have the open-air riverside terrace on one side, and football drama on the other, enjoyed from your luxury seats overlooking the halfway line."

The Dugout is another big addition to Craven Cottage. A sports bar featuring immersive audio-visual technology, fans will also get the chance to go pitchside to watch the teams warming up ahead of kick-off.

For the match, you’ll be seated right behind the coaching staff of both teams.

On the second floor, a bar with its own dedicated entry will be available to match-goers. A lively atmosphere, bookable VIP areas and appearances from Fulham legends will be part of the experience.

And finally the Sky Deck, which is set across the top three floors of The Riverside.

"Sky Deck has a brilliant blend of formal and informal, secluded and social settings in stunning surroundings, including the rooftop terrace and its sweeping views across the Thames and London's skyline," the website states.

We're not sure who would bring a pair of swimming trunks or a bikini to a game of football but it's certainly unique.

The Sky Deck and other experiences, including The Brasserie, will open in December 2024.
