David Moyes has promised fans that he will stop saying one thing to jinx Everton after their big win over Newcastle United.
After a turbulent and dramatic 90 minutes of action at St James' Park, Everton came away with three points after beating Newcastle United 3-2.
Goals from Jarrad Branthwaite , Beto and Thierno Barry ruled out Jacob Ramsey and Jacob Murphy's goals for the home side, keeping the Toffee's hopes of European football alive.
The win takes Everton to eighth in the Premier League table, which could be enough to secure a spot in the UEFA Conference League, and just three points off seventh-placed Brentford with the top six now within reach.

But, following the win over Newcastle, Everton boss Moyes confessed that he was wary of talking too much about making it to Europe any more.

During the post-match press conference, Moyes was asked what his aims for the remainder of the season were following such a vital win in Newcastle.
Jokingly, Moyes replied that he has previously mentioned playing in Europe on several occasions before the team stumbled in their next game, adding that because of this he would no longer mention their chances of making it into a UEFA competition.
“Every time I say it we fluff our lines, so I'm just going to say we can keep challenging in the top half of the league and see where it goes from there,” Moyes said.
“I'm honestly saying to you, I told the players that I wanted to get us into Europe.
“At West Ham, we nearly got relegated and the following season we made Europe so I didn't think it was impossible to be done, but every time I get back to Hill Dickinson I feel like it's getting harder and harder.
“But we've done really well away from home, we've got a great record away from home and long may that continue.”

Everton remain unbeaten in their last six away from home, with only league leaders Arsenal winning more away points [29] than Everton [24] this season.
Therefore, it appears that Everton may have their best chance in years to make it to Europe for a fifth time under Moyes, but they would need to finish strong in their final 10 games to do so.
Everton host Burnley at Hill Dickinson stadium for the next Premier League fixture on Tuesday night.
