Jamie Vardy secures blockbuster deal for bizarre new venture to rival Mark Goldbridge
Jamie Vardy has secured a major deal to take the next step in his career, and it's not what you'd expect.
Although he may not be playing in the Premier League anymore, Vardy remains one of the biggest names in English football.
The former Leicester City striker is currently a free agent and has been linked with several clubs including Brazil's Sao Paulo Futebol Clube and a spectacular return to Sheffield Wednesday.
Vardy spent last season with Cremonese in Serie A, making 29 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.

But rather than focusing on his next club, Vardy has completed a completely different deal as he's landed a massive broadcast deal to become a Bundesliga rights holder.
As part of the deal, Vardy’s YouTube channel, launched in June and named "Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party”, will broadcast seven Bundesliga games live this season for free.
Each match will be shown on a Friday night, the first of which will be the season-opening match between champions Bayern Munich and Stuttgart on August 28.
Banijay Entertainment, the Production company that owns and produces Vardy's channel, agreed a one-year deal with the Bundesliga for the rights.
Vardy now joins The Overlap and That’s Football, the YouTube show hosted by Mark Goldbridge, as UK-based broadcasters showing the Bundesliga's Friday night games.
However, for the 2026-27 season, ,The Overlap will not be showing any live games, allowing Goldbridge to be the Bundesliga's primary content creator having acquired the viral Man United fan's YouTube channels in April.

A source told The Sun: “This is a huge move for Jamie as he expands his talents in broadcasting, while still playing football.
“He’s buzzing to reach Bundesliga fans and chat with star guests about action on the pitch.
“He’s hoping to create a real community with his podcast and is loving getting into the nitty gritty of the sport.”
Several guests are reportedly planned for the live broadcasts, including Vardy's wife, Rebekah.
Who will Jamie Vardy play for this season?
Because he is now a free agent, Vardy doesn't have to worry about the upcoming summer transfer deadline on Tuesday (September 1) to secure a move to his next club.
Sheffield Wednesday would of course be the most exciting move for the striker, especially as it would lead to a reunion with former club Leicester City in League One.
“At some point, I’ll be able to tell a story,” Wednesday chairman David Storch told the talkSPORT Show when asked about the possibility of signing the former England striker.
“This might not be the right time. But, yeah, Jamie is somebody that we would like to have in our club.
“Let’s just say he’d be somebody that we would be thrilled to have at the club.
“Unfortunately, we do have these restrictions. We’re trying to figure out how to get around the restrictions to put something in front of Jamie that would make sense for him.”
Should a return to Sheffield Wednesday not be possible, West Ham United appear to be another possivility after the Irons made enquiries about signing him following their relegation to the Championship
