Watch: Willy Caballero Produces One Of The Worst Errors In World Cup History

An absolute stinker...

Argentina goalkeeper Willy Caballero has just produced one of worst clangers you will ever see to gift Croatia the lead in the Group D.

The Chelsea man, playing in his first World Cup at the ripe old age of 36, played a very short pass in the first half that nearly led to a goal but his blushes were spared when the referee gave a foul.

But then in the second half, after receiving the ball from Nicolas Otamendi, he attempted to cutely chip the ball back to the Manchester City man but got it horribly wrong.

Ante Rebic's volleyed finish was utterly sublime but the cock-up from Willy rivals Loris Karius' gaffe in the Champions League final a month ago.

It's just his fourth international cap for La Albiceleste and on the basis of what we saw tonight, you can see why he's barely played for his country.

In fact, his only become No.1 for this tournament because of Sergio Romero's injury in the build-up to the tournament.

Twitter exploded with reaction to the absolute howler:

What on earth was he thinking?!
