Ahead of the Under 21 Euro 2017 draw tomorrow, UEFA have produced an all-time XI of the very best players who made their mark in the tournament.

The Under 21 tournaments have been instrumental in the development and success of some of the finest players in football history, evidenced in this XI that UEFA have put together.

With the team based on the players who achieved success in the Under 21 Euro's ove the years, there is a tidy, diverse mix of players from different eras. Arsenal's Mesut Ozil, who was utterly unplayable back in the 2009 European Championships where Germany went all the way, quite rightly features. There's also a dream midfield pairing of Xavi and Andrea Pirlo - with three other Italians in Giorgio Chiellini, Alessandro Nesta and Francesco Totti also making the team.

Only one Englishman has been selected, that being the recently retired Frank Lampard, who remains the all-time top goalscorer for his beloved Chelsea.

Spain and Real Madrid legend Raul leads the line and brings the all-important firepower up top in this dream side. There is no place for Swedish striker Marcus Berg, despite the player scoring a record-breaking seven goals in four games in the 2009 tournament, a feat that earned him the Player of the Tournament accolade.

Here is the team in full:

What a team.
