Real Madrid Set To Complete Signing Of Alisson Becker For €70 Million

Real Madrid are close to completing the signing of AS Roma's Alisson Becker.

The Brazilian stopper has been subject to intense transfer speculation with a host of clubs around Europe monitoring his situation.

Liverpool also expressed a desire to sign him with the club actively looking to replace current No.1 Loris Karius, that search has naturally intensified following his performance in the Champions League final.

But it appears the European champions are set to secure his services ahead of next season.

Real Madrid and AS Roma have been in negotiations over Alisson's transfer with talks at a advanced stage, per Spanish outlet AS.

A fee is believed to be in the region of €70 million.

AS Roma president James Pallotta confirmed those claims. "Alisson has a high market value, around 78 millones. He is close to Real Madrid, while [Radja] Nainggolan will join Inter Milan," he said.

The report also suggests Alisson's Brazilian teammates are aware of his transfer to Bernabeu.

When the deal crosses the line, it'll end Real Madrid's hunt for a new keeper who have been keeping tabs on Manchester United's David De Gea.

Real Madrid will be able to see their potential new player in action at the World Cup with Alisson set to appear between the sticks for Brazil.
