Manchester City have made the best-ever start to a Premier League season, winning 28 points from 10 matches.

Pep Guardiola's side have produced a flurry of stunning performances in recent months, topping the charts in terms of goals, shot conversion, possession, passing accuracy and touches in the opposition box.

Kevin De Bruyne has pulled the strings in City's midfield, while Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero have combined to score the goals.

It does make you think - can Manchester City make any improvements when the transfer window opens?

Many would agree that City do not need reinforcements based on their league and cup form, but a report in Spain involving a Real Madrid star may sway heads.

According to Don Balon via The Express, Pep Guardiola feels he can land Real Madrid playmaker Isco in a potentially stunning deal.

12 months ago, his time at the Berbabeu looked to be over, but Isco has since proved his worth under Zinedine Zidane, becoming a key player in Los Blancos' talented squad.

Despite being awarded a new contract that will earn him a salary of €6 million euros, which reportedly includes a mammoth €700 million euros release clause, according to AS, the Manchester City manager 'feels it is only a matter of time' before he joins the club.

The report states however that Isco is not interested in a move to England.

Isco arrived from Malaga for a fee of €30 million euros, and though he struggled to nail down a regular spot for a while at the Bernabeu, he has grown to become a vital player for Zinedine Zidane's side and was an integral part of their unprecedented back-to-back Champions League success, and La Liga win.

Thoughts on Pep Guardiola's interest in Isco? Will it eventually happen?

All we know is, Manchester City would be unstoppable with the Spaniard on their side.
