Just days after they suffered defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final, it looks like Jurgen Klopp will make his first signing of the summer in Monaco midfielder Fabinho.

The deal is reportedly worth £43.7 million, with an added £5 million in bonus payments.

Fabinho to Liverpool could be completed as early as Tuesday, according to The Mirror.

Fabinho was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in previous transfer windows.

But it looks like the Brazilian will be the ideal replacement for Emre Can, who is reportedly set to leave in the coming weeks.

Fabinho, who was not included in Brazil's World Cup squad, has impressed during his time in Ligue 1 with Monaco.

He will join the midfield ranks alongside another signing, Naby Keita, as Klopp looks to strengthen his side ahead of next season.

Whoever you support, you've got to admit, these are very solid signings from Liverpool.

Could Nabil Fekir be the next player to arrive at Anfield? Will they challenge for the Premier League title in 2018/19?
