Big money has been spent across European football since but no deal has surpassed that figure. However, with a whole host of exceptional talents on their way to stardom, there's reason to believe it won't be too long before we have a new record deal.

Inter star Martinez has long been linked with a mega move to Barcelona, while boy-wonder Mbappe is already the second most expensive player having joined PSG from Monaco for a whopping £166 million.
And Romano, seen as the go-to source for transfer news, tips the trio to make history in the coming years.

"I think Mbappe, Lautaro and Haaland can be the players who break the record."
Mbappe, already with over 100 career goals and a World Cup winners medal under his belt at 21, would appear to be best-placed to usurp his teammate Neymar.
