Piers Morgan has promised to wear a Tottenham strip if Good Morning Britain viewers are able to raise £50,000 for charity.

The TV presenter has already been reached the first stage of his fundraising, agreeing to stop "tweeting, writing, broadcasting and just generally running off at the mouth" for a whole 24 hours after an initial £5k was raised.

Now he's targeting £50k - and the Arsenal-mad journalist is committed to wearing the strip of his rivals Tottenham if that target can be reached.

It's already at just under £7,000 and supporters have until 8am on Friday, 22 March, to get over the target mark in aid of Red Nose Day.

Piers posted this tweet earlier today:

It's already a boost to everyone that Twitter will be Morgan-less for 24 hours, but seeing him in a Tottenham strip would be the icing on the cake given his passionate support of Arsenal.

He regularly tweets his thoughts and opinions on the Gunners and even his fellow fans will no doubt enjoy seeing him in rival colours.
